Continuando con las entradas del Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Panamá 2014, a continuación tenemos al diseñador de modas nacional: Juan David Vélez.
Este año JDV no solo contó con la puesta en pasarela de su línea de alta moda, también contó con una pasarela previa lanzando su nueva colección de ropa ready-to-wear. En su mayoría, la colección varió entre conjuntos de falda y blusa a vestidos coctel. En cuanto a estampados, hubo una variación de flores y diferentes estampados sobre chifón por lo que las transparencias fueron un detalle importante de esta línea.
La línea couture por otro lado, a diferencia de la colección del año pasado Enchante Bijoux, fue una colección mucho menos compleja y más en concordancia con su línea ready-to-wear. Las transparencias y la paleta de color fue el factor unificador entre ambas colecciones mientras que las aplicaciones de encaje y la construcción son las firmas distintivas del diseñador.

Continuing with the posts about Mercedes Benz Fashion Week - Panama 2014 we have the runway show of the talented national designer Juan David Velez.
This year JDV not only presented his high fashion collection but also launched a brand new ready-to-wear collection. Overall, the ready-to-wear runway show consisted of cocktail dresses and blouse+skirt outfits. Prints were the key to most of the outfits as there were pieces with floral prints and prints printed on chiffon -which made transparencies the main focal point-.
The couture fashion show on the other hand was a lot less complex than JDV's last year's collection Enchante Bijoux but it was in great accordance to his ready-to-wear line. Transparencies and the color palette were the unifying string for this year's proposal while the lace applications, the construction and all the hand work were the timeless signature of the designer.
