¡Hola a todos! Tenemos otro post sobre OOTD (outfit of the day) con fotos de nuestra colaboración con el fotógrafo panameño David Pérez y quiero compartirles un poco sobre mis pensamientos de los últimos tiempos y de cómo llegué a seleccionar mi outfit.
Quise ir por este atuendo por solo usar esta falda que lo habia conseguido recién en ese momento y quería inspirarme por el estilo grunge. Aunque no es del todo literal, quise hacerlo al final a mi manera combinando la falda de plaid con el suéter de mis amigos de la banda 'Ocean Grave' y hacer un mix de estampados. El sombrero solo fue un toque más inesperado.

Hello everyone! We've got another OOTD post (outfit of the day) with photos from our collaboration with Panamanian photographer David Perez and I would like to share with you a piece of my mind and some hints on how I chose my outfit for this set.
I went for this outfit because I wanted to wear my recent bought plaid skirt and I wanted to portray some grunge inspiration with my personal spin. I matched my skirt with my Swag Army t-shirt from my friends' band Ocean Grave and mixed it with other prints. The woven beanie was a spontaneous detail.

Solo viendo este atuendo me acordé de la canción 'Velvet' de Alice Nine. He tenido muchas experiencias nuevas desde finales del 2015 hasta ahora en este 2016 y en realidad ha sido solo de sobreponerse siempre a todo aquello que al final ves que no va a funcionar. Porque por más que uno quiera, sienta o le gustaría que funcione, la gente no te lo permite o no están abiertos a estar contigo y esforzarse para que las cosas funcionen. Tal vez con eso uno se decepcione, porque la decisión de ellos es por solo no aceptar lo que te hace diferente, pero te das cuenta que precisamente con eso que te hace diferente es que puedes levantarte y no dejarte por nada o nadie a cambiar lo que te hace ser tú.
Es díficil en estos tiempos en los que ahora todo es ser abierto a lo que sea pero no hay que olvidar del por qué uno es único con nuestros propios criterios además de nuestras experiencias. Se equivocarán al decir que las cosas no pueden funcionar, porque sí pueden funcionar si es mutuo y si está la seguridad de que al menos no es imposible.

Just looking at this outfit I remembered Alice Nine's song 'Velvet'. I've had a lot of new experiencies since the end of last year up until this year and it's been all about keeping your head up from situations that seem that they're not going to work. Even if you want, feel or hope with all your heart that everything works out in the end, it's people that don't let you in or don't make the effort to make everything work out. It's somehow disappointing because most of the times it has to do with them not accepting who you are but you find out later on that it's precisely those things that makes you different, what helps you to get through situations like these. No one can change who you are or what makes you be who you are.
In these times when everything is about being open minded to everything is when you need the most to stand straight with your own criteria and what your past experiences have taught you. People will find out later on that they were wrong by saying that nothing ever works because they can if the feeling is mutual and if there's the certainty that nothing is impossible.
