Last November, KabukiGRLZ had the pleasure to attend the exhibition of two macro collections (Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter) of the worldwide famous Fashion Designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada in the National Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC). This exhibition consisted of 55 dresses whose slogan was ´the happy clothing'.
The structure and architecture of the dresses, the saturation of colors and the use of unconventional materials made this a one of a kind experience. The ´happy clothing´was something Panama had never seen before and we hope we can continue bringing top designers to the local eye.
You can enjoy the photos below.

Something that caught our eye was the designer's illustration technique: even though her sketches are simple, they transmit a simple-hearted and vibrant essence that sums up to the design aesthetic and identity of De La Prada. To sum up, instead of painting, the designer uses cuttings of the same material or textile she's going to use to make the garment. This way it is much easier to know how the design will look like in real life before she even starts putting it to production.
